Storm events are ingested
NOAA storm event records arrive continuously. Hail, wind, and damage-triggering weather are mapped at the county level with a recency-weighted score — last week outweighs last quarter.
Licensed roofer density is mapped
State contractor licensing registries are cross-referenced to count active licensed roofers per county. Fewer licensed roofers in a high-storm area means less competition for the same demand.
Demand score is calculated
Storm recency, storm severity, and licensed roofer density combine into a single county-level demand score. High score = high demand, low competition. That is where buyers in motion are concentrating.

Storm data: NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information — Storm Events Database. Licensed roofer data: state contractor licensing registries (publicly available records). All output is at the county level only — no per-address data is produced or stored. Ingest date and source attribution are displayed on every map layer. Storm recency window is displayed in the map legend.
